This series of Siemens Sirius 3RV2011 manual motor starters are approved for Type E protection, otherwise known as a self-protected combination motor controller. With a UL approval, the 3RV2011-0GA10 can be used downstream of a fuse or circuit breaker to provide this level of protection up to 0.63 AMPS. The benefit is that all these protections are provided in one device: overload and short circuit protection, disconnect and motor control. When combined with the appropriate sized Siemens 3RT2 contactor, full combination motor protection is achieved in one compact, fully functional unit.
