The Appleton Type-C Conduit Outlet Body is a versatile and durable fitting designed for surface mounting and easy installation. With a 3-inch hub size, Form 8 configuration, and a capacity of 217 cubic inches, this outlet body measures 15.63 inches in length, 5 inches in width, and 4.81 inches in height. Constructed from Grayloy Iron and finished with a triple-coat process, the outlet body features smooth, rounded integral bushings in each hub to protect conductor insulation, as well as accurately tapped, tapered threads for tight, rigid joints and excellent ground continuity. The flat back design provides greater cubic content for easier wire pulling and more room for splicing, while the smooth hub bushings and cover openings further protect conductor insulation. The outlet body fits flush and snug against flat surfaces for more stable installation, and the smooth hub openings allow easy conduit joining. Completely interchangeable with Crouse-Hinds Form 8™ bodies, gaskets, and covers, this Appleton outlet body meets NEMA FB-1 standards and comes in a gray color with a tapered FNPT connection type.
